Connecting a Panasonic DMR-BWT720 Blu Ray

I'm having some issues with connecting my panasonic blu ray to the net. Ive used the easy setup on the machine which claims all ok, and it downloaded and installed an update with no issues, however when I press the internet button to access iplayer, netflix etc I get a "cannot connect, check your network settings" message. Any ideas?

Are you connecting wirelessly or via LAN cable? Are you certain you are connected
wirelessly to your router after inputting password once router seen?
I've an older one that requires a wifi dongle, but believe yours has integrated wifi.
