Bit of a long one this.
A month or so ago I migrated from BT to Plusnet (broadband ADSL, phone and mobile).
The home setup includes 2 PCs, home server, printer connected to a Gigabit HP switch. The switch is connected to a TPLink wireless bridge with AP facility. The bridge connects wirelessly to a BT Hub5. Wireless devices connecting directly to the BT hub include a couple of tablets, mobile phone and a netbook. All connected fine on BT broadband.
Installed the Plusnet router when PlusNet broadband migration carried out. Connected all my wireless devices (tablets, Netbook, mobile phone). All those had no issues connecting to the router and getting on line, apart from my wireless bridge, which could detect the PlusNet router, and could ping the router, but not show valid connection. In order to get PCs online I ran an ethernet cable through the house to my HP switch - still no connectivity. After discussion with PlusNet help desk I was sent another Plusnet router - no difference (I have subsequently returned it).
Reading on this forum (thanks Baldrick?) I configured the BTHub5 to connect to PlusNet. Excellent, wireless devices connected as before (both BT and PlusNet routers) but my wireless bridge, although it detects the BT Hub, does not show as connected. So I presently have a CAT5 cable through the house to my HP Switch and can get the PCs etc. on line.
I have reconfigured the bridge several times. I can ping the router in the bridge's wireless console and get a reply. But in the router's setup it shows the bridge as "not connected". There is obviously wireless connectivity - I wouldn't be able to ping the router in the bridge's wireless console otherwise. The only thing different between the present setup and the previous on BT is that I am connecting via PlusNet - so what is PlusNet broadband not providing that allows my bridge to connect. I can't have an ethernet cable laid out from the hall way though kitchen and dining area to the office on a permanent basis.
There are no IP address conflicts (most of my wired devices are running with fixed IP, or permanently assigned DHCP IP addresses). Been going around in circles with this.

The TP-link wireless bridge has no internet connectivity either by WiFi or ethernet cable.
Just how is the bridge setup to connect, is it DHCP (with static IP) or manual IP settings?

Thanks for reply.
I have tried both - manually configured IP and DHCP with Static IP.
When used with BT broadband it was setup as a Bridge with AP, though it was only running in Client mode. Again I have tried both.
In setting up it will see the router - either manually enter the BTHub name - or do a wireless scan and select the BTHub and click "connect".
But when checking for "Connected devices" once the setup is complete it shows zero devices. Similarly BTHub console shows the bridge device in the wireless device list, but marks it "Not connected".
Easier to draw a diagram, when on BT the path was wireless from BTHub, to TPLink bridge, then ethernet to gigabit switch, to which PCs, printer etc. are connected.
