Football commentary on BBC News not updating automatically

For a few years now, if I wanted to keep track of how a Premier League football match was progressing, I would go onto the BBC News website, find that match in the Sports/Football section, and click on 'Live Text'. It might not give me the typing equivalent of a commentary, but it kept me reasonably up-to-date with how things were going. However, starting yesterday, the Live Text doesn't keep up-to-date. I have to click on the Refresh symbol. That puts me back into Match Stats from where I click on Live Text again. I am then up-to-date, but again the automatic update still doesn't work.

Has my pc developed a fault? Has the Beeb done something so I now have to click on something extra to get the auto-update working? Is it just another thing that has been installed on my pc because I am still using Win 7?

Like @TheRoadCrew I'm seeing updates.

I'd try the BBC Sports App on a smart device to see if that's the same

Thanks to both of you. Its strange. The score at the top of the Live Text view works okay, and the number of minutes into the match works okay. Its just the typed commentary that doesn't.

I dont have a smart device. I prefer a phonre I can stick in my pocket.

Did either of you have to log on to the Beeb? I will try that, though I never had to before this problem

I have tried logging in to the Beeb now but it hasn't had any effect. By the way, just in case it makes a difference to your thoughts, I am using a desktop pc, not a smart phone or tablet or any other electronic device. I am using Chrome as my browser. I will try Edge or Internet Explorer (I have all three on my pc)

Will let you know how I get on.

Right, I have tried using both Internet Explorer and Edge. IE is a bit of a mess visually, plus it doesn't even update the match time (how many minutes played). Edge is fine, it works just like I was getting from Chrome until yesterday. I would prefer to stay with Chrome, but if I need to use Edge until I have a solution to this problem that works on Chrome, then so be it.

I dont know what is (was?) going on but tonight the text is keeping up with the clock, not requiring me to Refresh the page. On the other hand, tonight there isn't any Match Statistics, and instead of the commentary being called Live Text, it is called Live Reporting. I wish they would make their minds up. Another thing they could make their mind up about is whether they used the match clock time for each update, or use GMT, instead of some updates using one time and some using the other.

Anyway, thanks to both of you for your help. Now back to the match........

Live Reporting is what I was looking at last night  (see screenshot in message #2). There were Match Statistics on the same page I looked at earlier tonight:

That's something I find mildly irritating
