Hi Guys, hope you all had a good Christmas 2021.
Ours was fine... apart from the fact that both of the HDMI ports on our Panasonic Viera 40DS500 TV seem to have gone kaput. The #1 port had an Amazon Firestick plugged into it and all that's showing is a blank screen. Same as well when plugged into the #2 port.
Have tried another known working Firestick with the same result, so what's going on.
And two faulty HDMI ports?
Surely not.

Does the TV have a 'factory reset' option. If so it might be worth a try.

Hi @Baldrick1
I have considered doing that if all else fails.
Cheers. 👍

Have you tried something else in the hdmi ports in case, for example, it's a problem with your wireless link?

Yes, I tried another known working Firestick with the same result.
Had thought of trying both of the Firestick in a neighbours TV, but what with Covid and all.
Off to see one of our daughters soon so might try it in hers.
It's a real head scratcher that's f'sure.
I'm now left wondering if it's some sort of glitch with the automatic software updates from Panasonic. 🤔

All sorted.
Did a full factory reset of the television along with all the palaver that involves and it's now up and running.
Rather surprised though that despite talking to the Amazon tech guys via their chat line they did not suggest doing that and instead focused entirely on the firestick and what I had or had not tried otherwise.
Still, all's well that ends well. 🙂
