Background. My contract with broadband plus phone came to an end. Wanted to keep my broadband with PlusNet as have email addresses with them in long term use. Also need to keep the landline number as like the email used and known by many over 20 years. On stationary, on cards going back that far.
Moved to PN fibre so emails OK. Phone number immediately cut off but hopefully will transfer. Went to lovevoip.co.uk as they transfer number free and have call plans which give enough minutes of outgoing call that its affordable. The recommendation for aa are normally only for incoming as no included outgoing without high costs so couldn't use them.
Trying to use a Linksys PAP2T-UK ata to link to existing phones. It's not handling incoming or outgoing calls. Can get both on computer with MicroSIP software, just not on the PAP2T. Had it working but reset it now not.
Does anyone know about setting on the PAP2T? or lovevoip.co.uk

Did it previously work with lovevoip ?
or was it another voip provider ? it may be 'locked' to that provider ( many PAP2Ts were locked )

UK PAP2T's were typically locked to Vonage.
I would question whether it could support current protocol standards ?
given that it's functionality hasn't changed much since 2005, and went EOL in 2012.
There also seems to be no way of checking/updating the firmware - as support has been removed.

Seemed to work fine till I did factory reset, but at that point hadn't also installed the MicroSIP on computer. No its not one locked down. Hearing others currently using the PAP2t they say works just fine for them so not an issue with not supporting any protocals.

Some VoIP suppliers will allow multiple active devices registered on a single account, others won't!
Make sure that MicroSIP isn't running , then try the PAP2T again

Other thoughts -
Have you got any VoIP related "port forward"s, set up on your router ? (perhaps only pointing at MicroSIP ?)
I assume that you're using different SIP port and RTP port numbers on the PAP2T than used on MicroSIP ?
otherwise your Plusnet Hub's NAT routing will likely get confused - even if one or other device is switched off.

“Some VoIP suppliers will allow multiple active devices registered on a single account, others won't!”
This is one thing I worried about, phoned them before starting and one of their teck persons said not a problem, now another is implying it is. No mention on the sight about this (or on most other sites).

Hadn't thought about this, the MicroSIP software of course is purely on broadband via ethernet and I don't see a port setting. Only one port used on the ATA.

This article on the A&A support site (for A&A VoIP) might give you some ideas as what to look for -
Tips and recommendations for VoIP through NAT
If you have two VoIP phones behind a router using NAT, you may have to change the port settings on one phone. The local SIP port (often 5060) and the local RTP port(s) can't be the same on the 2 phones - if they are the same, you'll get weirdness on incoming calls.

Try leaving the PAP2T on the standard SIP port 5060, and whatever it's default RTP port range is.

Try putting a different SIP port number and alternative RTP port range values in here -
Once the PAP2T and MicroSIP are on different port ranges, I suggest rebooting your router to clear any previous NAT routes.
