That's the end game really. Unfortunately, frequently you do get what you pay for.
On the Corsa, I had a cheap and cheerful one which, I'd admit, worked reasonably well. until the card got filled up. And then despite what it said on the box. It didn't automatically start again. No, every month it was a pain in the neck job for me to do - reformat and restart.
With the new car, I paid another £50 more. Its been running now for 6 months, 24hrs a day i.e. its on even when the car is parked up. Downloads can be done via Wifi, I can even view it on the phone (came with an app to do that). Was it worth the extra? For convenience and no faffing around. Certainly. Even the windscreen mount is a 1000 times better. i.e. it looks a professionally installed job. As I said above, you get what you pay for. Everything is built to a price point.
But do send the naff thing back. While videos can be corrected, best avoided really.
Ever helpful. Sure, I’d love to help you out. Now which way did you come in?
