Outlook (New) receiving issue since Sunday evening

I've been trying to fix my wife's email issue since Sunday night and this is driving me crazy....
She's been using the new outlook (web based) for a while instead of the classic version because it syncs WAY faster than the classic version...and we do have a M365 subscription, and she has outlook mobile on her phone...all has worked well until Sunday night when she stopped receiving emails. I thought it might be a temporary ATT issue but i don't think that's it now since it's Wednesday.
it's a bellsouth email so she has been having to login to ATT to get her emails but she has been able to do that just fine...
This is the weird part....if we open Outlook Classic all the emails pop in and it syncs (albeit slowly because she has a ton of folders and a lot of emails). So outlook classic is retrieving emails like normal...this is only an issue with outlook new and outlook mobile. But if I go into outlook new and delete an email that she doesn't need then that email does immediately delete off her outlook mobile...so they are both touching the server, it just seems that for whatever reason it's unable to retrieve any new emails from the server, nor can she send an email from new outlook (but she can send from classic outlook).
I will say that we have a secure email key setup for outlook classic, but there is no place that I can see to put one in for outlook new (not have we ever put that in before), and it's been there for a couple of years, and this issue just started Sunday night. I've removed the bellsouth account from outlook new and added it back but it's pulling in the same data and only items up until Sunday evening.
and this seems to be an ATT issue as she has her icloud email account on that outlook as well (that is never used) but I can send and receive test emails from that one just fine.

@TheBigTicket74 From what you say, I'm guessing you are in the USA - in which case I suggest you contact your ISP or ATT - us here in the UK don't know how they operate.

Simples really "New" Outlook is a right can of worms.
Outlook 365 - the one you pay for - is a dependable product.
There have been no end of issues reported around here about "New" Outlook working / not working / problems configuring it. Remember that it ships as part of the OS so there's no knowing when it gets updated.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
