My desktop is a 2010 HP P6525uk with just a few minor upgrades. CPU, graphics card, disk drives, USB controller, quadrupled memory...

@jab1 It was my work's desktop which was replace after 3 years. The very benevolent IT Manager (that was me) let me take it home. Upgrades, mainly from ebay, were cheaper and more fun than buying a new box.....

The last few messages have nothing to do whatsoever with my original thread re: phone number spoofing.
Methinks the mod needs to take action.

@briank true, it's drifting, but as thread starter are you expecting or at least hoping for any more useful input? If so, please say that and I'm sure people will show constraint and respect. No need to call on moderators, there aren't many, they're volunteers and are probably overworked and unpaid..
If not, let it drift and enjoy.....
Personally I think once you're on VOIP there's less opportunity to manage/filter incoming calls and I've (sadly) given up. Largely I just don't answer the VOIP ex-landline and just wait for the "answerphone" messages to arrive, which they do by email. Since February, when we migrated, we've received just one genuine message, though to be fair I have answered a few calls where I recognised the incoming number. Most people call our mobiles these days.
