Does Plusnet have any plans to join the Netflix Open Connect Network? If you are, or will then Plusnet customers that have access to Netflix will get the new 'SuperHD' and '3D' streaming that Netflix is/has made/making available.
This would be brilliant.
Please Plusnet, join the network.

Netflix peer at both LINX (Juniper and Extreme) and LONAP, so I can't see the immediate requirement for Plusnet to peer directly with them. They require a minimum 10Gbps interconnect with a minimum of 2Gbps "95th %ile" bidirectional traffic. (Or what? No penalty clauses are made apparent). That seems a little steep for just Netflix traffic to PN customers.
Although, the Open Appliance looks like it might be useful (if PN are even seeing ~5Gbps of Netflix traffic): https://netflix.hs.llnwd.net/e1/us/layout/signup/deviceinfo/OpenConnectDeploymentGuide-v2.4a.pdf

To be honest, HD on Netflix seems fine to me so I don't know how it could get any better? It's more for the 3D I want.

Quote from: Barry (if PN are even seeing ~5Gbps of Netflix traffic)
We definitely see more than 5Gbps of Netflix traffic
