I don't use Gmail myself, but this appears to be what you need to look at -

Thanks for this @outcast. I`ve saved the page and will look into it. I haven`t heard from this individual since they begun sending me their VPN page to sign in with and telling me how to using specific letters to do so. It was at that stage I started to wonder why all this sudden requirement to correspond when it didn`t matter previously. But as I said earlier in this post, they did often go off on a rant about sensitive topics which I didn`t play along with and I replied using ordinary names and language. I`m relieved somewhat that they have disappeared because these back and forth emails were going on daily or every other day and it was starting to get exhausting trying to keep up with it.
Now that I`ve had time to think about it all, if they message me again out of the blue, the email(s) won`t be answered. My main train of thought now though is, do I keep using that Gmail address or do I create a new one for other sensitive or private stuff and eventually ditch that one if I still feel it could be compromised? Meaning, could/might they share it with others? I know that`s entirely up to me of course.

As I explained previously, a solution to any of your contacts sharing your email address, is to purchase your own domain and then use a different alias for each contact, for example if you owned the domain "plusmouse.me.uk", you might setup an email INBOX called "inbox@plusmouse.me.uk", and then direct ALL incoming messages for your domain to that "inbox" mailbox.
Then each person or company you encounter, you might end up telling them to use a unique email something like -
- "bank@plusmouse.me.uk"
- "tesco@plusmouse.me.uk"
- "doctor@plusmouse.me.uk"
- "friend@plusmouse.me.uk"
- "grandma@plusmouse.me.uk"
- "plusnet-forum@plusmouse.me.uk"
If any of your contacts then leaks their unique alias, then it will be easy for you to block messages with their unique "To:" field, or implement more thorough filtering rules. Doing this means that you can identify WHO leaked your email addresses, as all your contacts only have the alias that you told them.
If you go to a domain provider such as IONOS , you can search for a suitable domain -
For about £10 per year, you can own your own domain AND included is a much better email service than gmail !.
For example, working with your Plusnet forum name of "plusmouse", currently available domains include -
- plusmouse.me
- plusmouse.uk
- plusmouse.org
- plusmouse.me.uk
.

Thanks for explaining all that @outcast it`s interesting. I`ve never thought about purchasing my own Domain!
I know that in Gmail, you can create `aliases` or add-on`s if you add the `+` before the @gmail.com. Example;
myname+britishgas@gmail.com
So incoming emails from British gas would go to that alias address and not my main titled Gmail address. However....what I`m not sure about is whether my main Gmail address is where these other `aliases` still come though to, so the sender would still have my original Gmail name/title? So I`m thinking, what`s the point? 🤔
I may be misunderstanding the above.
