Updating website - originally Madasafish & Freenetname

I have been updating my website using terrapin  software and have been publishing to it without a problem for a few years.

My old PC broke and having got a new one I haven't been able to get the correct settings needed to continue to publish.

I cant seen to get the right FTP server address ?

The only information I have found is from an old madasafish webpage and this doesn't work!

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Updating website - originally Madasafish & Freenetname

The server address should be www.users.freenetname.co.uk as far as I recall, however that is currently returning some odd DNS results for me Huh

~$ host www.users.freenetname.co.uk
www.users.freenetname.co.uk has address 0.0.0.0
www.users.freenetname.co.uk has IPv6 address ::

Try using ftp.freenetname.co.uk instead and see if that's any better.

Re: Updating website - originally Madasafish & Freenetname

Define 'do not work'? What actually happens when you try connecting?

The second address looks fine from here: -

~$ ftp ftp.freenetname.co.uk
Connected to ftp.freenetname.co.uk.
220 ProFTPD Server [freenetname.co.uk]

No worries Dave, glad I could help.

The other address should work aswell to be honest, so I'll see if I can do some digging as to why it isn't.
