Re: VoIP Without a Handset?

@MisterW  Sorry but as you are obviously aware what A&A do is in no way relevant to my situation.

@RealAleMadrid I appreciate that, but since the thread refers mainly to A & A it is relevent to others involved

Re: VoIP Without a Handset?

Odd one out here, I use Voipfone. Number imported free, but a monthly fee of £3.60pm. They provide an app for incoming/ outgoing calls which is basic, but functional. My account is a PAYG, so no worries about big bills. The benefit now is that when my Mum & Dad ring I can answer from anywhere, as they won't ring my mobile.

Re: VoIP Without a Handset?

I now appreciate that there are many ways to meet the purpose of this thread, that is to provide reliable guidance to those who may be reluctantly/nervously giving up their landline phone and would like a short term overlap. Think of it in the same way as having your post redirected for a short time when you move home.

Whilst I have read and learnt much from replies, for which I am grateful, I have read nothing that suggests that post #7, which spells out the options, is not a reliable way of achieving this aim.
