"small linux problem - partially solved" thread. !

OK.. so the lightbulb moment .... was.... the font size seems to be associated with the windows softwares. and the WINE configurations...  so I

1.   opened a Terminal,...and typed in   wine version  and got Wine 10 .  which I expected

2...Then I typed in      winecfg     which opened up a "Pop out " menu box.. with some "tabs".

3.   put 4 ticks in 4 boxes

4.   adjust the desktop size to your size

5. screen resolution for me is 96 you can try larger if you like - use the slider

6 click apply

7 click on the Desktop Integrations

8 click on the empty "Item" box .. and select from there...   e.g. Active Title Font.. then select the Font  and change the size from pop out menu ....

9. click OK and APPLY..

10... Repeat 8, 9, and 10 for various other text size changes as required.

If your box disappears.. just go back to the Terminal and type winecfg again.

have fun !.   Hope it works for you !...... at your own risk !...  Huh

Update on the Update ! ! ! .

1... ignore line 3..... do not add any ticks to any boxes..

( doing that will make your original desktop screen disappear, and present you with a clear background colour ) .

2... line 5... for a larger size "flyout" menu box... adjust the resolution to 120 ..

if this is too large.. you can always go back and change it via the terminal command winecfg.

You may, or may not, decide to adjust the actual font sizes in line 8... (selecting the Active Title Font )

Apart from that...it seems to be working ! . Smiley

what fun ! ! Cheesy
