End of Day: 29th April

End of Day: 29th April

End of Day: 29th April

It's Tuesday... and typially, it's home time, and it's raining. Of course, that was obvious since I didn't bring my jacket this morning Sad First up, and quick off the mark, was Finance with Alex:

WOW! Finance got the EOD in first! That's a good start! Smiley Today in the whirlwind that is upstairs... Mark (J) has mainly been doing invoicing and direct debits, James has been working on the cashbooks and has also een working on month end preparation, Mark (B) has been working on the year end audit, I (Alex) have been working on invoices and have been closing customer tickets, along with Andrew. Over and out Smiley

Marketing Martyn next..

Today we've been putting the finishing touches to a new minisite, and we're now really close to launching it. Phil has been working on some PR and we've also been testing some of our project work. Chris is back from his holidays tomorrow, so we'll be back up to full strength. See you then.

Mike from Networks has this to say:

In networks we have been working on Brightview Phase II, fixing problems and upgrading our databases. The ticketeers have been cross-polinating to spread the knowledge, and the IT guys have had a fun time upgrading software on all the CSC machines.

Comms Chris has the next update:

Over in the sane world of comms we've been tremendously busy. Matt's been in meetings, working on personal tickets and doing change controls. Mand has been in meetings, working on tickets/problems and chasing up various people. I've been wishing I had another monitor so I could actually see all the different things I've been working on today. James has been hiding with the sales team again.

Richard from the CSC has the following update:

CSC has seen the usual mix of customer queries to deal with: New fault reports and updates on existing faults that are still under investigation. Helping new customers set up their hardware for the first time, and there are always a few existing customers who have brand new shiny routers that they need help with. Always a few email queries as well, and of course sales enquiries from prospective new customers - keep them coming! Also our Ops Manager Luke celebrated a significant birthday - he was 'surprised' with a cake; our Customer Support Director Carol just managed to avoid incinerating herself while lighting the candles!

Luke’s 30th Birthday So, Happy Birthday to Luke and that's it from us for the day. Colin
