Transferred to EE still being charged

I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently took advantage of one of the deals to transfer my mobile from Plusnet to EE and my number has been successfully ported and have had no issues until yesterday when I received a text from Plusnet saying they were going to collect my direct debit of £17.16 on 23/06/2023.

I found this odd as my understanding was that I paid in advance and have a £0 cap so can't possibly owe anymore money.

Is this just a case of Plusnet's automated message system being behind and I won't be charged for another month's service when my Plusnet SIM is now dead as previously mentioned my number has transferred to EE?

Has anyone else had issues with this? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,

I have had the same text message after moving to EE, informing me that my Plusnet Mobile Direct Debit will be taken on the 26-06-23.

This for 2 accounts in my name.

I also am still being charged although I already transferred out weeks ago.. My account is now in credit. How do  I close this account and get a refund?

Hi Norette, we can't share what's happened with an individual's account as that's covered by data protection. Are you experiencing the same or a similar issue?

Hi there, this has also happened to me. I transferred mine and my son's accounts across to EE last month. I ported our numbers across and paid for the new contracts already but have now received text messages from Plusnet saying that they will take another Direct Debit payment on the 23rd Aug. When I log into my Plusnet account I can see it knows I have left. 

I will be furious if money is taken so I have cancelled the direct debits from my bank account in advance. Please sort the admin out at your end
