Access issues

Hello
I've been with Plusnet for 6 months and I've used email for, well, probably 2 decades now.
As of an hour ago, I could no longer access my (non-Plusnet) emails from any of my devices - some email servers are on my own domains, one is on (Apple) iCloud and one is on gMail. My own domains report "Too many failed logins".

When I use my iPhone I similarly cannot pick up mail, but if I turn off wireless and use mobile data, everything is fine.

All other services seem to be absolutely fine, just email is broken
I've rebooted my router.

And now I don't know where to look next. Is this a PlusNet fault? I just can't rationalise what's going on!
Thanks in advance
Derek

Re: Access issues

Here's a PS...
My Applemail "Connection Doctor" tells me my iCloud and gmail connections are OK, but somehow AppleMail can't seem to get to them because of the other email issues.
I am suspecting it's my domain's email servers that are at fault but have brought down mail mail program as a side effect.

Please assume it's not a PlusNet issue after all (unless you know otherwise!)

Sorry!
Derek

Re: Access issues

Further info - the PlusNet IP address I've been given has been blacklisted...

What is the way to get this blacklist removed?

Blacklisted by whom?

Re: Access issues

It seems to be sorbs, which is the Spam and Open Relay Blocking Service.

Before I was with Plusnet I was with John Lewis and I had a spate of bad IP addresses there - they gave me a static one which solved it.

So I guess it's a Plusnet issue after all!

Sorry - I've not been thinking clearly as I was trying to understand the issue.

Re: Access issues

I'm going to paas this to someone who can explain this clearly to you - I understand the basics of SORBS, but @Townman will be able to explain it a lot better than I can.
