Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

Its normal at "https" website.

But if I want to surf the website start with "http", it will relocate to the https://www.plus.net/member-centre/login

Same problem on iPad , android phone and PC

Reset or restart router - done, didn't help

@mmoths22 Welcome to the forums. Sorry, but your post does not make any sense. What EXACTLY is your issue?

FYI - the Members centre is intentionally a secured site.

@mmoths22 Sorry, you still do not make much sense. Why can't you post the problem site?

I still don't see your problem.

Re: Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

Could you have an outstanding bill with Plusnet?  I thought it sent you to a page warning you about it first and then gave you an option to log in to pay it, though I've not been through it myself so I'm not definite on it.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

Good question, but I don't know because the wifi is provided by the landlord. I have asked him before, he said he had call to the hotline and it should be fine.:grinning_face_with_sweat:

Maybe I should ask him again.

Re: Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

@mmoths22 I'm wondering if this is because this is a (Japanese?) site with no English language content?

Strange if only this site is affected though, @pjmarsh ?

Re: Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

@jab1 I think is not matter with the language, even if I try to surf the site in English or other language content that use Http will relocate me to plusnet sign in page.

I know it strange but it happens to me.

@Nichols_222 this has nothing to do with your issue - please post questions on your own topic.

Re: Blue light, asks for sign in for http website

I can't say that I've come across that before.  The only other 2 reasons that I can think of for a site being blocked is:

  1. from a court order, though I don't think they would push you to logging in
  2. its on the IWF Block List, if that's still in use.  I think that redirects you to a page saying why it's blocked as well.  Again I don't think you'd need to be logging in for that.  I've not heard anything on that for years either, so not 100% sure if its still used, or if that is done via other methods these days.

I think I'd raise it with your landlord as they will be able to log in and may be able to see more
