Re: Broadband issues

'@Ragismiks That availability checker result does not make sense - you are on an FTTP priority exchange and yet it is 'not available' ?Huh

Are you saying you are now using a wired connection?

@MisterW  / @Dan_the_Van  - any thoughts?

@jab1 perfectly ok. It means that the exchange area is FTTP priority. It doesnt mean that FTTP is available in all locations in that area. If its available in the location then ONLY FTTP can be ordered, if its not available SoGEA can be ordered , as in this case.

Re: Broadband issues

Thanks @MisterW - should have realised that! Embarrassed Noting @markhawkin  's comments above, looks like whoever planned MK was totally incompetent.

Probably applies to MK in its entirety, not just the network infrastructure🤣

What works fine? Do you get the full contracted speed?

Re: Broadband issues

I don't have a option to use wired atm.

Is it best for me to find a wired connection?

Re: Broadband issues

If you turned Wi-Fi off, how are you connecting?

Do you mean you are only using mobile devices/Macbooks &c?

Re: Broadband issues

Going back to your 'Technical Log' in post #17, something is really hammering your connection - 1.9GB up/2.3GB down in 6hours?

Re: Broadband issues

We got ring doorbell, cctv and probably 4 kids watching the netflix or on their tech before the school, that could be the use of it.

It's just bad even at nights, I work nights and around 2am signal was barely existing, had to use my mobile as a hotspot again to work

Re: Broadband issues

OK. You have a very poor 'connected' speed, but apparently, so does a lot of  MK, due to the way it was built - badly. Having said that, the fact that your DSL connection had only been up for ~6 hours points to a fault in the OpenReach infrastructure.

I'm out for a couple of hours now, but is it possible to export your Event Log - see picture below - and attach it to a post?
