@jab1  Looking at the evidence, the connection speeds are as expected, Download in the middle of the range, Upload speed rather poor.   The upload is being hammered which of course cripples the download speed. It would appear that the op is trying to run speed tests when multiple devices are active on the local network and is also suffering from poor wi-fi signal strength.

@Ragismiks The only valid way to test your speeds is with a single device connected by ethernet cable to the router with the router wi-fi turned off so nothing else is connected. Any speed tests using wi-fi are meaningless.

@RealAleMadrid Agreed - but I'm just wondering if the DSL circuit is failing, too -note the low uptime.

Just a thought

The Hub two technical log screen shot shows a time stamp of 09:47, the DSL uptime is show as 6 hours 49 minutes.

Assuming the technical log was post just after being captured that could make the sync time around 03:00 in the morning, possibly a DLM resync?

If the location of Milton Keynes is correct, as I recall due to the way the city was originally built and phone wires provided it's a place with more Internet speed issues than most.

 

If my grey matter isn't too befuddled I seem to recall 20 odd years ago back in the ADSL days BT (as they were then) didn't have a clue as to how their phone services were routed. Not only that there was a fair bit of aluminium cable about. A major project was run to to "map" the network - there was even a local project web page monitoring the events and pushing for better speeds (some things don't change).

 

@Ragismiks 

Have a look at the OpenReach site to see if FTTP is planned for your location. Also, given your speeds could there be too much traffic from various devices at certain times to give decent speeds.

Without such a test it is all supposition. 
This could be no more than co-channel wireless interference/congestion on a busy link.

I canf upload the whole lot will let me upload only 50 a day. Is this okay? I don't really know how to upload them better

@Ragismiks To upload the log as we need it, you click the 'Export' tab in the picture I posted, and  attach the reset to a post - that will post the log as a .csv file which we can then read and interpret.

Milton Keynes did seem to have telecoms problems for a long time, some areas still do.

Initially, when building first started about 50 years ago, a BT owned and operated cable TV system was installed that by the 1990s was one of the most comprehensive in the country. The cables were almost exclusively installed underground, sharing ducts into each home with telephone cables.

Unfortunately, development and upgrading of the TV network seemed to stop in the 1990s / early 2000s and eventually BT were forced to sell off their cable TV networks around the country, (ISTR it was connected with BT starting up BT Vision or BT TV). Virgin Media bought the Milton Keynes Cable TV system, early in the 2010's but later decided it was uneconomic to upgrade the old coax's to fibre cables - I did hear that they couldn't reach a financial agreement with BT / Openreach to use the existing ducts for VM's fibres. Virgin Media shut down the cable TV system entirely in the middle of the last decade. AFAIK, no parts of Milton Keynes are served by VM's "proper" cable system with high speed internet etc - and never have been?

 

The way that BT, (before Openreach existed), planned the telephone cable duct routes seems to follow how estates were built: for example, I am approximately 400 metres by walking distance from the cabinet that used to serve our house, (later changed - long story), but an Openreach engineer once showed me his tester which indicated a cable route to the cab of approx 800 metres! I later saw a cable diagram that showed a very twisty duct route to get to our part of the estate.

 

Another issue that is common to many areas of Milton Keynes, bearing in mind that there was a lot of house building here in the 1970's an 80's was the use of aluminium cable - fine for telephony, awful for broadband!

CityFibre have been building around here for at least 4 years, and I think that Openreach are building in other parts of the city, but no plans for our immediate area AFAIK.

Are you running the speed test with a wired connection or a wifi connection?

If you are using a wifi connection with a phone but with the wifi turned off, you will be testing the local 4G speed not your Plusnet broadband speed.

It doesn't show export option on mine. I can't upload any more screenshots either now. 

 

I went technical log - there's choice between information and event log. Pressed event log and it doesn't gave option od export

Sure I asked yhis before - or a variant - but do you run totally wireless devices in your home, i.e. no conventional PCs/laptops?

No mate, I disconnect the WiFi from my phone to actually use the phone. If I connect phone to WiFi I get no signal and neither of my emails etc comes in on time. Kids run their pc and xbox off mobile hot-spot. As WiFi that bad in house.

My Vodafone hotspot gives out around 30mb same as kids hence they use that.

 

I'm paying £26 a month now to run tv downstairs and ring doorbell with cctv camera 🤦‍♂️😂

In the day its only tv that's on wirh ring doorbell and cctv camera oh and hive smart meter.

When kids are home they run  their tech wirh mobile hotspot

When I rung plusnet guy looked into it and couldn't figure it out why it's so bad. He looked in the use and said barely anything is using the broadband in house. Then he said he'll speak to openreach or BT to check the lines and when he got back to me he said everything is fine from that end. So he had to reset it and see if makes any difference but it hasn't it got worse.
He said it was limited to 18mb and upload to 0.8 but I don't even get close to that 😂
