Can't access swarovski.

Hi all,

If I try to access the Swarovski website, it tells me access denied. It only happens when I am using plusnet and it happens across multiple devices and browsers. If I use the same devices/browsers with a 5G network it works fine.

I'm pretty sure I have seen this before with other sites but I can't remember what they were. Any ideas? My wife is getting angsty about ordering Christmas presents!

Text is...
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.swarovski.com/" on this server.
Reference #18.74d37a5c.1700946279.104c134c

Any ideas?

Cheers, Taf

Re: Can't access swarovski.

This isn't a issue on Plusnet, this is on swarovskis end, maybe due to a previous client.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you explain what you mean?

Just to confirm... (as an example)...
Phone (chrome) -> Plusnet - > swarovski = broken

Phone (chrome) -> EE -> swarovski = working

Phone (edge) -> Plusnet - > swarovski = broken

Phone (edge) -> EE -> swarovski = working

The only thing changing is the connection. Are you saying they have banned the ip address?

Thanks.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

Hi @tafkabandit, some users sell their internet connection to companies to use as a "proxy", your current ip, is flagged on swarovski's end. this could be due to previous fraud on said ip, web scraping etc.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

That's interesting as I've had a static ip with plus net for 15+ years. Pretty sure I've never sold my ip address. Could it be malicious?

Re: Can't access swarovski.

Check that your anti-virus software hasn’t installed a VPN. I use a VPN on my phone and with it enabled, couldn’t get on the Go Outdoors website - I was getting a permissions error

@tafkabandit  Have you tried https://www.swarovski.com/ ? That works for me.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

Thanks for the suggestions but it happens on any device, not just the phone. IPad, other phone, laptop... Etc.

I tried all variations of the address, including Google searches to specific items.

I suspect it is a banned ip problem for which I guess there isn't a fix.
A year ago it was working fine because I've ordered stuff from them before.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Regards Taf.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

Okay, so it is getting worse. We can't get on to John Lewis either now. This was definitely working last week.

Okay, I guess I need to get plus net to change my static ip?

Re: Can't access swarovski.

So the John Lewis site gives a different error...

ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Same symptoms though, works with 5g doesn't work with plusnet.

Re: Can't access swarovski.

This doesn't seem like a Plusnet error now, it might be on the hardware dependent on config etc, or on their side, it should be working fine, reading up, you can try clearing your dns cache? I've got no clue how that might effect it, but its worth a shot.
