Re: Drops

Just to follow this up....

DSL been up for over 17 days now, with just 1 drop of the PPP connection in that time, but no resync. Not sure what was going on, but it appears to have resolved itself for now. Currently stable on the following

Data rate:19.999 Mbps / 76.481 Mbps
Maximum data rate:24.695 Mbps / 80.051 Mbps
Noise margin:15.7 / 3.8
Line attenuation:9.2 / 13.7
Signal attenuation:9.2 / 16.5
This is a snapshot at this time.

Re: Drops

For some reason, I now have the full 80/20 on a 3db margin. The router did a full reesync just before 3am yesterday with the following

50:18, 11 Oct.
DSL Link Up: Down Rate=80000kbps, Up Rate=19999kbps; SNR Margin Down=3.3dB, Up=15.3dB.
If this proves to be unstable can I request dlm moves me back to a 6db margin...

Re: Drops

@penfold  Plusnet have no control of the FTTC line parameters, it is all done by the automated Openreach DLM system so you can't request a specific SNR value. If the line is unstable DLM will do something.
