Earlier activation date

How can I get my broadband activated quicker I need it for work as soon as I move on the 6th but been given a date of 13th, I believe the line is active and only requires remote activation

@baddamsfamily If there's already an ONT in the property then, in theory, a remote activation should be possible, which ought to complete in 2-3 days.

However, the ONT must be left powered when the order is placed. Openreach will attempt to test the ONT as part of the ordering process, if its not powered , the test will fail and the order will revert to requiring an engineer.

Sounds like that's what might have happened in your case.

Is this a new build or was it previously occupied ? If the latter, maybe the previous occupiers ISP put a cease on, in which case your order will be delayed until the cease completes.
