Internet Still Down After Last Nights Outage

My internet still appears to be out after last night's mass outage.

I've reset the router and nothing is working and I have work in a couple of hours... from home... on the internet.

Today is the day I leave Plusnet

My connection is still broken after the outage too.  It's not down all the time, but it's dropping out and reconnecting every two or three minutes.  I'm off to work too soon and I'll be away for four days.  But my mother will still need to use the connection and she hasn't a clue when it comes to computers, the internet and technology in general.

 

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to still be going on when I get back.

@Azagoth - dropping connection is unrelated to last nights outage, that was DNS issues - connections remained active. If your connection is dropping you need to raise a fault.

Try using DNS settings 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Network and Sharing, select Change adapter settings, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/iPv4), Click on properties, Change to Use following DNS server, and enter the 2 sets of numbers in the 2 boxes.

There should be no need to change DNS now - that issue is resolved.

@Draddict what is the colour of your hub light?
