Hi,
For years my speeds and PING have been very consistant, 72mb download, 18.5mb upload with a PING of 15. Over the last few days my speed has been all over the place, at 2300 last night the download was reading 1.5mb. Today, the speed has recovered to 65mb, but the PING is 100 !! I reported a potential fault via the text service and it came back that everything was ok. Is it possible for someone to look into it further please.......
Thanks

As it is the weekend, PN staff support s limited. Don't know which router you have, but sight of your stats may help - maybe not, as you are complaining of ping, but it is worth a try.
Sight of the broadband connection status from your Hub (with the 'Username' obscured) would also be of help.
For the Hub One -
Navigate from the Home Screen to Troubleshooting > Helpdesk
For the Hub Two -
Navigate from the Home Screen to Advanced Settings > Technical Log > Information

Are you FTTC or FTTP? Your speeds make me think you are on the upper limits of FTTC and are very close to the local cabinet where the DSLAM is located. (Digital subscriber line access multiplexer or DSLAM for short, is the thing inside the street cabinet what converts your copper DSL line into fibre, what then goes back to the local exchange.)
If FTTC, rain and the weather may have caused your issues if water has got in your line somewhere, including the street?
Best thing to do is to phone PlusNet and ask them to run a test on your line to see if their is a fault, which they can then pass to Openreach if their is a fault on their side.
Elliott.

@GrottoTree The OP is on FTTC, and the information I have requested above will give a clue as to the issues.

Hey @robquick,
I’ve run some tests on your line, and they show no faults affecting your service. Over the last 30 days, the average line speeds have been around 80 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. I did notice two connection drops on the 7th and 8th of December, but it seems to have stabilized since then.
You mentioned that the speed has recovered, but the ping issues persist. I have two questions:
- Are the devices experiencing these issues connected wirelessly?
- What tool are you using to test the ping?
