Re: Limit to period where a post can be edited

@DomS, I agree with you. Not all the people 'did a runner' some are still around.  If a person makes a comment then he/she should stand by it - or apologise!!

After 6 months of this rule been in place we've had no complaints and very few amendment requests.
I think it's working well.

Re: Limit to period where a post can be edited

I was initially apprehensive about this proposal., The lengthy discussion on the 'Why's' and the alternatives changed my mind into voting for the compromise time limit of one day.  As Dvorac says, it  seems to be working well and not causing any bother for the Mods.
Leave the rule in place.

Having watched members throw their toys out of the pram previously, go back through and edit or blank out all their old posts (sometimes with quite rude comments) and then do a runner, I can see the advantages of having this limit.

And how often did that occur?
On the fairly few instances that I've seen that, the offending poster should have at least been suspended, if not banned way before.
Still, I'm glad the rule seems to be working OK then.

So what is the limit then?

I think 24hrs =====> 1 Day
However I could be mistaken Wink
