If this isn't the place for this question, I apologise, but I'm really interested to know.

The big difference to unlimited now is that virtually all the larger ISP's are offering it and with long minimum contracts so Plusnet are unlikely to get a surge of "I download the internet every day" users

I'm still on the old Broadband Plus up to 8mb package and would like to move to Unlimited. I have a couple of question though:
1. I currently get approx 3.5mb as a download speed but noticed that the new Unlimited has an estimated 2mb estimated speed. Does this mean that I'll get a speed drop or is it likely that things will carry on as normal. I take it that the 'up to 8mb' thing has vanished for good after people were complaining so much about being far short of that.
2. I'm paying 15.99 per month. Will my payment reduce automatically to 12.49 when I switch to Unlimited (no contract) or do I have to ask for that to happen?
I'm a tad scared to change as we've enjoyed a very long period of fault-free access with PN. I've even nearly forgotten about all the hoops we had to jump though when our connection dropped to a really slow some years back. After several weeks it turned out to be a hardware issue with PN. I wasn't happy then but I'm over it now. Mostly.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Estimated page showed a similar drop for me when I changed to unlimited but in reality things carried on as normal.
The only sign that the change had occurred for me was a brief drop of the internet connection. DSL stayed connected so there was absolutely no change in the connection speed.

1. Your speed will remain the same.
2.Your payment will automatically be applied on your next billing date.

Quote from: avatastic Just put in my request to switch.
I assume I'll keep my static IP block of 4
I assume I'll need to re-request Max Premier as I did last time I switched product.
Anyone care to answer these?

As far as I'm aware it hasn't been stated whether Max Premium is automatically removed when the account changes.
