Re: Web Accessibility - New draft British Standard

Presumably this will be to encourage step by step instructions?

Re: Web Accessibility - New draft British Standard

Has anybody tried to read it?  What a load of tosh Roll_eyes
It's much more focused on how to set up boxes to tick to ensure that you can justify that your development is compliant as far as I can see?  The document it is planned to replace (PAS78)  was quite good and well presented.
The web site version could well take a few notes from their own document in making it presentable to even people with normal eyesight, let alone those with visual problems.   I tried to read and comment, but gave up after about 4 pages:  Small (VERY SMALL) font,  failing navigation links and no downloadable PDF.  I'll wait Crazy

I went to read it but resented the fact I had to sign up to look at it.

That's exactly why I didn't bother - I couldn't be bothered to register - just to browse.

I think you aught to register and look at the document to see just how bad it is!  It is an interest area of mine and I genuinely wanted to see the latest status of thinking.
I have made a few recorded comments. But without making a lot of effort it is difficult to see how anyone will bother reading it all Crazy
