Hi,

One of my mailboxes (the 'default' one beginning with r) has been archived for not having been accessed for over 90 days. I have only just noticed this.

Would it be possible to unarchive it, please?

Do you know when the mail was archived? Normally we send across an email to let you know.

Hi there everyone 

Can I please get my emails un-archived I am still trying to work through them. 

The following was in the email I got about them being archived.Here is a list of the mailboxes that we have archived -

Mailbox Size
Maildir-diane 542.028 MB
Remaining Mail 461.692 MB

I will get them deleted quickly this time.

According to Plusnet webmail, it was sent on 2022-10-24 at 15:46. As I said, unfortunately, I have only just noticed it.

The message says:

You are receiving this message as your mailbox has not been accessed since:

We have therefore archived the contents of the mailbox, please note that new mails will continue to be received.

Most of my emails were removed from my inbox and archived. This was after two emails telling me that my inbox was getting full (759.02 Mb) and approaching the 1Gb limit.There was no date or time limit given in the email by which time I had to reduce the size of my inbox. I informed Plusnet that most of my emails had been removed on the 16th January and despite having phoned up twice since to request my emails, my emails have not been restored.
I believe that this is very poor service and reflects very poorly on a company that advertises itself as providing a good customer experience. Can someone help please?

Welcome to the forums @Em_B . When were these warning emails received? you get a reasonable time to reduce your mailstore size - AFAIK, you get two warnings of approaching the limit and then a final one when you go over - these being at least a week apart , and then one when they are actually archived. This surely gives you plenty of time to remove unwanted mail, and delete them.

We had deliberately left a mailbox unaccessed while working out what to do about a ransom attack, although I did occasionally look via webmail. On the day we access it again there is a message saying it has been archived with the following (useless) instructions for getting it recovered:

"If you would like your email restoring then please contact our support team by raising a ticket using the Help Assistant on our website:

https://portal.plus.net/"

Anyone know what I do need to do to get the mailbox recovered ?

PN have announced they'll soon be dropping the e mail offering; suggest you make alternative arrangements asap.
