Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Hey there @MSP42 welcome to the forum .

Was it an inactivity email? I can't see an email on the account saying it's been archived.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

There is an email on my @msp.... account about inactivity, dated 25/12/22.  But I don't use this account, so archiving doesn't matter.

The account mi.....el@mp.... has apparently been archived, but I've received no warnings about its size.  I'd like these emails restored, please.  If it's over the size limit, I'll edit it once it's back.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Hi there,

Please could you restore my emails as I have lost a lot of important emails.

I believe they were archived because I didn't access my account 90 days.

Thank you very much.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Hi, please may I have my emails unarchived.  I will sort them out - I hadn't spotted the change from 75% warnings to 100% warnings.  Many thanks. Hugh

Hi Do the emails in folders count?  They haven't been archived, but I'm guessing there are many more there than in the Inbox simple.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Yes everything counts and unless something has changed, whole mailboxes (but not all of them) get archived. It is worth checking all folders using webmail as some email clients do not subscribe all folders … and some IMAP clients use different folders for sent items.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

I asked some time ago for my emails to be unarchived.  It hasn't happened yet, and I'm anxious about some important emails.

Please see 825-828, and please contact me again if I can help to identify the correct account.

Thank you.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Hi - I can see the unarchived emails on my phone but not on my laptop.  The emails in folders are available on my laptop.  How can I get the emails on my phone to my laptop?  Many thanks.  Hugh

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Are both Phone and laptop using IMAP (not POP3?).

Can your phone see the other folders the same as on your laptop?  On in iPhone look at the second lot of mailboxes, expand them and you should be able to see the other folders (assuming that it is IMAP).

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

Hi, many thanks, I have been clearing out old emails.  Is it possible to see what the size of the email file is now?  Is there a view of all emails one can access? I could delete more efficiently if I could see all emails to a particular address for eg. Regards Hugh

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here!

View of folder size is a function of your chosen email client. Webmail will provide folder size in the folder management pages - see the cog bottom left.

In Outlook 201x right clicking the folder and selecting properties will provide the local and server folder sizes.

Mailbox contents can be sorted on any column, but I would not recommend that with webmail as it hammers performance. To reduce size quickly, I’d first sort by size - get rid of those massive emails used to share photos and documents (rather than using more appropriate file sharing techniques).

Hi @vamp

Have you received an email recently to say your emails have been archived for these accounts?
