Can't link my Plusnet email account to New Outlook

You might want to take another look at Thunderbird, I know they have done a lot of work to it in the last 2 or 3 years.

My brother uses Thunderbird (after his "outlook" started to play up, about 4 or 5 years ago!), yes, it's a bit different from the way Outlook works, but it gives the same sort of features, and is 10 times easier to set up than Outlook!

Hi again.  Thanks for your suggestion about thunderbird.  I had tried it before and couldn't get my head around it. I really liked the old office outlook, and when I dropped office got used to windows mail (in the xp/ ME days).  I think that coloured my thoughts on thunderbird a bit, and sometimes I have to drag my  70+ brain kicking and screaming towards something new.

Outlook(new) kept reinstalling and interfering with mail, and I was determined not to go down that path.  That got me annoyed and gave me a push in the right direction.

So I thought I'd give thunderbird another go, I reinstalled it and this time with very little trouble have all 3 email accounts set up on it (imap settings) and am getting familiar with it.  I have also revisited my usenet years and got the old newsgroup account up and running too.😎

You may have helped to create a monster lol!  😁
