Re: Phishing Emails

I can only see one email address in webmail and that's the one the email was sent to. It shows a few kbs of mail in the inbox and nothing in the other folders (deleted, sent etc). I can't see any way of getting web mail to display either the other email address I use or the overall mailbox, by which I mean the one that is something@something.plus.com as opposed to myname@something.plus.com. I never access webmail, I use Thunderbird if that sheds any light?

Is this a problem with plusnet as opposed to anything  sinister, is it safe just to ignore it (my emails are stored on my PC by Thunderbird, I wasn't aware that Plusnet stored them too, I'd rather they didn't but I can only access the main address so I guess I can't change this.

Thanks for your help

Webmail only gives you access to the mailbox you logged into.

You can log into each mailbox using each mail box's individual identity...

  • you@youraccount.plus.com
  • another@youraccount.plus.com
  • Or by account name and mailbox name
    • Default mailbox - accountname
    • Secondary mailbox - accountname+mailboxname

Within the user portal use MANAGE MY ACCOUNT - configure emails to find out all of the mailbox names you have configured on the account - it would not surprise me if there ones you have forgotten about.

Did you check the 'manage folders' option to ensure that there are no hidden folders?

Re: Phishing Emails

Thanks to all for help, I am now reassured that the original email was legit. I still can't find 'personal settings' 'Folders' etc. but I think I'll give up on that for now.

Re: Phishing Emails

Same here.

Paypal - notification of some purchase.

Microsoft  - purchase of microsoft 365

Frustration is that plusnet server is stopping me reporting them.  Spotting them when I try to forward but not when sending them to me!  This is part of the error I get

The mail server responded:  n0qLtVvnYSSpfn0qMtp9wz message rejected due to spam or virus.

Never had this before;  I always report phishing to appropriate organisation.

What to do plusnet?Huh
