emails not being received by icscotland.net legacy email address

Emails are not being received on my icscotland email account with either my email client, outlook, or on webbased mail.nI can send fro this email address without any problems.  I have emptied deleted items folder and also deleted unnecessary sent items attempting to clear any possible issues.Any help would be gratefully received.d

A bit of research suggests that "icscotland.net" email became Plusnet as part of the Madasafish service.

 

It might be time to move to a different email provider and address.

 

GMail is good but personally I think Microsoft's Outlook.com service (used to be called "Hotmail"  andnot to be confused with the EMail programme) is the best of the "free" options.

Might be much better to just raise a support question.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Support query / escalation raised...

@GlassySue having a look into this, I presume from your comment you can log in to your mailbox and see the existing email, do you know the last time you received an email?

Thanks Dave, have just logged into email using outlook and the webmail and emails now being received.  Was it a problem with the plusnet server or with my own systms? Would not like to loose the connection to this email address as I have used it for so long.

Apologies for this but it was something our side. The mails should all have been sat in queue and so nothing should've been lost, just a bit late if it was sent before about 12:09pm today.

Is that an IMAP or POP3 client?

What error code do you receive?

Try these commands in a POWERSHELL window...

curl.exe -v imap://mail.icscotland.net -u userID
curl.exe -v pop3://mail.icscotland.net -u userID

Use your email address as the userID, enter your password when prompted.
