Re: Domain Name

Hi Matthew

We've decided to go with Zen for the hosting.

We've confirmed this on the littleclowns account with the Zen tag.

Question #238084842

Hoping this is all achievable and many thanks for you and colleagues help.

Fred

Re: Domain Name

Hi @yfront I've raised this for you with the new ISP TAG. This can take up to 72 hours and then your new host can take the domain over.

Re: Domain Name

From what I can tell, the IPS Tag was never changed in the first place, so I don't think Hostinger were necessarily to blame for the original problems 😕

Re: Domain Name

Thanks for the heads up on that.

Does that mean we'll see the tag change on "whois" prior to being able to transfer the domain over?

I think the move to Zen would have been the wiser move in the first place.

Bob - I remember you dealing with problems for me over 20 years ago, you must be well and truly embedded into the office furniture by now.

😉

Thanks

Fred

Re: Domain Name

Hi @yfront

I believe that's right once it's done they should be able to bring it over.

We've had to re-raise the request due to internal changes on our end but as soon as we know more we'll be in touch

After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Re: Domain Name

Nudge, Nudge.

72 hours+ and nothing seems to have happened!

😉

Just a shot in the dark.

The domain registration is due for renewal on 21/12/23.

Is there any embargo on moving close to the expiry date?

The domain diagnosis site shows the registrar as Zen - see https://www.domaindiagnosis.com/index.php?query=memorablemomentsnursery.co.uk

Last updated 15/11/23, it says.

No knowledge of the Zen set-up, but guessing you might need to make all the other required changes there.

Re: Domain Name

@willcutforth @Penny s post shows the IPSTAG has been changed.

@yfront now needs to get Zen to confirm the transfer and then eventually use the Zen control panel to change the nameservers to Zen's.

Re: Domain Name

Would recommend instead of using Zen directly to add cloudflares free plan, to speed up load times.

Re: Domain Name

Thanks everyone for your help.

We're in touch with Zen for them to their part of the domain transfer.

I'll confirm here, hopefully early next week that all is well.
