@GordonF You can trace route, so no idea why you can't connect?

Well, to be accurate it does actually connect to an Amazon AWS server, but the response is the Apache Test page and not the correct website.
Thank you for your help, very much appreciated. If I do find out what is causing this, I will post back to the group.

Amazon cloud services can (theoretically) return a test page, as the cloud services are just a bit of rented virtual space.
If the registrar for your domain in godaddy I'd say give them a call. Earlier today DNS for your domain (as per plusnets DNS servers) was returning the fixed IP. Later today plusnet's DNS servers were returning two other (different) IP addresses.
This suggests DNS propagation of new addresses associated with the domain.

Thanks, but it is a supplier www.odroid.co.uk that I am trying to access, so I don't understand where godaddy comes into it.
I get the same result when I try to access a sister site of the supplier www.lilliputdirect.com
Having exhausted everything I can think of on my LAN, I am left with assuming that somewhere in the supplier website and/or AWS is taking exception to the browser request from my external |IP address. This is, however, getting considerably beyond my area of expertise.
As I have mentioned previously, I can buy what I want from the supplier via telephone so there is no pressing issue. I just don't like mysteries.
I appreciate everyone's thoughts, time and suggestions.
Thanks

Sorry, I just re-read your entry. My own domain registrar is HostingUK.net, so I will call them and see what they say. Thanks.
