How to turn off ipv6 in the router?

Hi
I would like to disable Ipv6 because its interfering with pi-hole on my android phone.

Or is the there another solution?

I'm new to pi hole so learning as I go on.

Thank you

Given that IPv6 is the future for accessing the internet, and it is disappointing that Plusnet STILL don't have it enabled, have you considered using your Raspberry Pi to add IPv6 to your home network using the Hurricane Electric FREE Tunnelbroker ?.

I've used a H.E. 6in4 tunnel on my home router since 2013, to provide IPv6 internet access on my Plusnet connection, and enable my entire home LAN to use IPv6 networking.

Assuming that your existing router doesn't support IPv6 6in4 tunnelling, there are many tutorials online demonstrating how to use a Raspberry Pi to perform as your IPv6 tunnel endpoint, for example - RPi Hurricane Electric IPv6 Tunnel HOWTO

It would then be trivial to point your Pi-hole IPv6 configuration at the new IPv6 gateway on the same RPi, and your entire home network would benefit from being both IPv4 AND IPv6 capable, and protected by Pi-hole (both IPv4 and IPv6).

The H.E. Tunnelbroker is FREE, and once you have opened an account you simply cut and paste your unique tunnel addresses into the configuration of your 6in4 tunnel.

I found that many websites work better over the IPv6 tunnel than the default Plusnet IPv4 routing, for example YouTube buffering just doesn't happen over tunnelled IPv6 but was often noticeable on Plusnet IPv4.  Regarding performance, the difference in both tunnelled bandwidth and latency was barely measurable, compared to native IPv4.

If your router does support 6in4 tunnel configurations, then that would be even easier to implement.

Note that you will need a Plusnet STATIC IPv4 WAN address, for your H.E. tunnel configuration to connect to.
