Logout

The system won't let me log out from my account. I move the cursor to "more", a drop-down shoots across from the right with two options - "refer a friend" and "logout". But as soon as a I move the cursor the drop down shoots away again in a nano-second leaving the space blank again. No matter how quickly I try to move the cursor to "logout", the drop down moves quicker.

Re: Logout

@kjello Are you using a mobile device - if so what? I have  just tried on my iPad (Firefox browser), and clicking 'more' presents a drop-down, the bottom option of which is 'logout'.

Re: Logout

Another question - which browser are you using?

Re: Logout

Firefox. I get the same drop down box with 'logout' as the second option.

Sorry for the delay in replying. My laptop froze and I've just got it released.

Re: Logout

OK. If you are using a laptop, on the landing page - do you see this:-

Screenshot 2023-11-15 at 17-39-20 Dashboard Member Centre Plusnet.pngIf so, just click the 'logout' word and should work. It should also work from any page of the Members Centre where it is visible.

Re: Logout

Thanks, John for the reply.

My landing page ("Manage Account") looks exactly like that except for the one crucial difference. Where yours has 'logout' mine has 'more', and as I said when I click on 'more' the drop down box appears with the options refer a friend and logout. Then as soon as I try to move the cursor to logout the box shoots away.

Re: Logout

ps Every page of the member's centre looks the same - more not logout.

The only Plusnet area that lets me logout is this one - the member's forum.

Re: Logout

@kjello Can you post a screenshot of your landing page, please - something doesn't make sense if you are using a proper laptop.

It isn't a chromebook or similar is it?

Re: Logout

@jab1

I have attempted to make sense of this, using google chrome.

I have found if you click on logout this screen appears.

Sometimes I go back to the login screen, sometimes I get logged back in, maybe this is the issue?

If not we can both be confused 🙂

Re: Logout

Yep, you get that. As soon as it appears (because I intentionally use separate tabs), I close the tab, but if I am not quick enough, it presents me with the login screen again, but it does not log me back in - I have to click the 'login' button.

Not had much cause to use the PN Members Centre for the last 30 or so months, so it might have altered.

Re: Logout

Simple solution for this would be to just clear cookies for the plus.net domain no?

Thanks, John. No, it isn't a chrome book, it's a regular HP laptop.

I've tried taking a screenshot by pressing prt sc as instructed but nothing happens. There are potential complications too because the screen shot would contain personal details (address, account no, bookmarks etc) so if it doesn't add anything it would best to avoid. All it would tell us that where your screenshot has 'logout' mine has 'more'.

What do you think of the other suggestions - deleting cookies and trying through Chrome? Personally, I can't see how these would help, it's obviously a software issue with Plusnet, but you may know how these might be connected, if at all.

Thanks

Re: Logout

Thanks, Dan, but I'm not sure how that would help if I can't click on 'logout' before it disappears. Am I missing something?
