New build line connection

We have a new build under construction and would like to be connected to Plusnet phone and broadband.  There is what we believe is an underground cable running along the front of the property.  Can anyone advise whether Plusnet can make the arrangements to link into this cable or do we approach Openreach?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: New build line connection

@Orca I don't believe that Plusnet can assist, they will be unable to place any order until Openreach have connected the building to the network.

If there's a developer involved in the building then its their responsibility to liase with Openreach to get the building connected. If its a self-build then I suspect you will have to contact Openreach. Have a look through this https://www.openreach.com/building-developers-and-projects

Note that Openreach have had a stop-sell on copper based phone services since last year. Its still possible to get a broadband service over a copper line but Plusnet are no longer offering a phone service to new customers.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

@Orca

Does it have a post code yet?

I believe you or your agent have to contact OpenReach to arange a connection to your property. Have a look around the OR website - it should tell you there.

You will not get a phone service from PN - they are withdrawing from the market. Given the impending closure of PSTN I doubt you get a traditional copper landline from anyone. It's digital or nowt.

With PN you need to go with an independant VOIP provider. There are ISP's who do both digital phone and internet.
