Hi @pjmarsh, thanks for that, any recommendations on how I can fix this?

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@kerrywhee, I don't sorry.  It's not something I've had myself, and it's years since I can remember seeing something like this.  I'd start with the host though and push on them.  Using this website, it shows 4,514,282 domains behind the same IP addresses as yours. I'd guess it is probably behind a load balancer for it to be that many.  It could be any one of those that has caused the categorisation if it is done by IP address.

Edit: just tried some of the others on that list, so it may be down to other domains on the same server as you, or I might have that totally wrong!

@kerrywhee  zvelo.com is just a site that reports internet security including website content categories.

Thanks, I'm scaling again with Sqaurespace, but if @bobpullen has any ideas as I have seen he has fixed this problem in the past then I would be very grateful!

@kerrywhee  I suspect these security Companies use algorithms when scanning websites to classify their contents. So it's possible something in your website is triggering a porn alert.

I've had a quick look at your coding but can't see anything obvious. Will have a closer look later on.

Nice site by the way....

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@kerrywhee  I’ve been through all your coding that I have access to but can see nothing that would trigger an alarm. Checking the IP address there have several complaints made, @pjmarsh ‘s comments on IP blocking may be right. Could any member of the forums using Plusnet’s Safeguard please check the website……

I may be totally wrong here but I would suspect doing the above would be counteractive to the purpose of Safeguard meaning someone who may wish to block the site for whatever reason won't be able to?

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@Mav surely it should be that people can choose to block it, rather than the default being that it is blocked? There is by no means any kind of adult or inappropriate content on my website at all.

@kerrywhee

I have no idea I just wondered...

Maybe one of the other members can answer that?

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@kerrywhee  ,  @Mav  - Never having had need of the Parental Control facility when I was with Plusnet, I can't directly answer, but at a guess, it would depend on which company's filter list they used - I'm guessing there will be more than one.

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@kerrywhee, I don't know if Plusnet could/would do such a thing, or how/why it has been classified as such in the first place, but it still wouldn't get around other suppliers blocking it.  Finding and persuading others to do the same as you're asking here could be a massive job.  I think you would be much better finding why they have categorised it as such in the first place and solve that issue.

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@pjmarsh when you say 'they' do you mean PlusNet? Do you know of anyone at PN who works on these forums that you could tag and ask for me as calling them up and trying to get an answer has been fruitless so far.

Thanks everyone for all your responses so far I really appreicate it Smiley

Re: PlusNet are categorising my website as adult content and need to unblock it

@kerrywhee, from Plusnet your best bet is @bobpullen as has already been said.  By they I meant anyone else blocking it for the same reasons.  As I said in my first post on this thread it is blocked for being categorised as Porn  on my non-Plusnet work connection.  The categorisation and blocking on there is done by zScaler.  The only possible connection between zScaler and Plusnets SafeGaurd may be (and I don't know there is any connection) that they get their list of categorisations from the same supplier.  I've no idea who that would be.

I think someone else said earlier on that it was also categorised as Porn somewhere else as well.

Would PN be  using Cloudmark, as they do for mail filtering?
