Reverse DNS needed

Just been told by the PlusNet helpdesk that there's nothing they can do to amend my rDNS settings!

Is that true?  Is anyone at PlusNet able to change my rDNS?

IP address: 81.174.152.174 currently resolves to gideonit.plus.com and I need it to resolve to box.gideon-it.com

Any help with this is appreciated.

NO it isnt! The helpdesk aren't able to, but the staff who frequent this forum are able to raise a request to NetOPS to make the change. I'm sure one of them will be along shortly...

You will need to ensure that your domain has the corresponding A record pointing to your static IP as this will be required before the rDNS can be set.
