Unexpected Plusnet feedback request

Just to add to the disappearing topics and EE migration trial threads, I thought I'd add another mystery into the mix (I'd forgotten about it until reading the various conspiracy theories here).

A couple of days ago I received a text "Hello from Plusnet. We'd love to get some feedback on your Broadband experience. We're sending out a short survey... Based on your recent experience, how likely are you to recommend Plusnet to friends or family?..."

Now, I haven't been a Plusnet Broadband customer for several years, so I was immediately suspicious that it was some scam. However, it was from the same number as a BT feedback request from earlier this year - which was genuine.

I'm now thinking it is part of a larger picture, which is the exploration of moving customers from Plusnet to EE.

Has anyone else received such a survey request?

But that can be spoofed, as with phone calls - can't it?

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine

It can, but it would be a bit unnecessary.

Also a scam ought to ask for my bank details rather than a 0-10 rating for Plusnet Broadband.
