Who can use the fibre cable?

Sounds like a silly question but Giganet have just installed fibre cable down our road. We are presently on FTTC with Plusnet.

Would Plusnet be able to use this cable for FTTP or is it exclusively for Giganet.

If it's an exclusive cable then does that mean every broadband supplier would have to dig up our road and install their own cable and box (the box is in the pavement outside each house)?

Re: Who can use the fibre cable?

@PauloJF The cable is for Giganet (or any ISP who have an agreement to use it), which will not include PN, as they are part of BT, and exclusively use the OpenReach network.

@PauloJF

PN only use the OpenReach network. You can continue with PN or anyone else on the OR network.

You would need to look on the Giganet website to see if they wholesale their network to other providers.
