Connected to WiFi but asking for login/authorisation

Literally just got a new hub yesterday and the blue light is on and I keep getting messages on my device saying I need to login/authorisation even though I've put the password in. It's not my phone as its happening on my partners phone too. We've tried resetting it also
Any help?Huh

Re: Connected to WiFi but asking for login/authorisation

@Mbrend96 Have you received notification that your service is active - if you are a new customer? Or is this a replacement for another PN hub?

Welcome to the forums, btw.

Re: Connected to WiFi but asking for login/authorisation

@Mbrend96 I suspect your router is still in 'set-up' mode, in which case, follow this:-

1. Connect a device onto the router's WiFi or plug a laptop/PC into the router using an ethernet cable

2. Go to the router's homepage at http://192.168.1.254

3. Click on the Advanced Settings tab

4. Type in the admin password found from the back of the router and click the OK button

5. Click on the Continue to Advanced Settings button then the Broadband tab

6. If there's a Disconnect button, click that

7. Change the username to the broadband username in the format of username@plusdsl.net If you can't remember this I'd check for any emails PLUSNETsent you as they'd add the username to the top of the email.

8. Type in the account password, this can be reset here: https://www.plus.net/forgotpassword/ if needed.

9. Hit the Connect button.

Re: Connected to WiFi but asking for login/authorisation

Hi @Mbrend96, thanks for getting in touch and I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the connection currently. I can see when testing your connection from this side we look to be connecting to the router however the router doesn't look to be authorised which explains the login notifications your keep seeing. In which case, if yo follow the steps below you should be able to authenticate the connection.

1) To connect to your Hub One, you will need to open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.254

If you have any issues doing this via Wireless, we recommend trying to do it via Ethernet cable instead.

2) You should come to a page with information about your connection, click 'Settings' at the top and it will ask you to sign in with a Password. This is located on the back of your router under 'Admin Password'

3) Select the option for 'Broadband.'

4) You will see some default options, if not, please press 'Disconnect' on the right and this will allow you to change the Username and Password.

5) For your username, this should be your account username and should be in the following format: username@plusdsl.net
Your password is your account password

6) Press 'Connect' and you should be online.

Let us know how it goes.
