If you do not need to use the Hub 1 for wireless, something to consider:
If you compare the energy consumption of a hub 1 with that of a 5 port switch, you will probably find that the reduced running cost will pay for the switch in less than a year.

@Baldrick1 Good point - I've currently got it setup in the rear of the house (powered using a Smart plug) as a kinda home-cinema setup connecting TV; set top box; Chromecast TV etc wired up using ethernet (plus it provides a wifi extender which isn't really necessary), so only have them all powered up when I'm using the TV in the back.
However if I swap it to the front it'll just be on all the time, which as you say is heavy on the power...
