Upgrade pricings now on portal

As subject - I can now see all FTTP upgrade speeds & pricing on the user portal 😎. Think I'm about to press the button, I hope it's all working properly for the FTTP trialists

Re: Upgrade pricings now on portal

@beeceegee

Not for me - still getting the error message when checking for upgrades. However I am on the Trial so that may affect things.

I assume you're aware you lose you phone service and number if you go to FTTP.

Doesn't appear to be. I'm a trialist and it just says "Due to a temporary issue we are unable to provide you with upgrades or contract renewals at the moment, please try again later." when i attempt to look at the offers.

Do you loose your landline even if it's with BT? I have a separate copper cable for the landline (via BT) and FTTP for fibre via Plusnet.

I'm on the trial as well & I ported my number away a month or so ago. If it's not working for everyone (especially another trialist) I may hold off for a while, not too keen on being the guineapig

Not working for me.   I have FTTC.

@beeceegee

If you need more speed then give them a call - there's nothing stopping you upgrading. I believe several trialists have already taken the jump. You need to take out a contract (rather than the 30 day notice we're currently on) but that's it. You'll get a Hub2 to boot.

Re: Upgrade pricings now on portal

@bmc

That's the other question of course - do I really need more than my current 80/20, which does pretty much everything, at a lower monthly cost than the 80/20 24m recontract offer.

I wonder if there are any plans to shift us trialists onto a retail plan.

I'd take the Hub2 but it would probably sit in a drawer as backup. I reckon my 6 year old Archer C3150 is still probably the better router.

Re: Upgrade pricings now on portal

That's for you to decide.

Both my wife and I work from home (and are gamers). We only use online based video services so more speed was necessary for us; 500-550 was plenty though. I just pulled the trigger on the 900 because it's literally 7£ more a month.

The lowest tier full fibre was less than I was paying for 80/20 because you won't have to pay for the line rental and all that.

Re: Upgrade pricings now on portal

@beeceegee

I believe it is the intention in due course to move all Trialists off the platform we're currently on onto the main FTTP system though no timetable has been set. Whether on not this will involve us taking out a new contract remains to be seen.

Even if it does, we've had a good run for the price we pay.

Re: Upgrade pricings now on portal

I'm a trialist too and I can now order Full Fibre online via the member centre's "Offers and Upgrades" should I so wish. Have a screen of 6 speed options and prices to match them.

Progress.
