Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

Morning
Every speed test I've done for two days brings back 0.2/0.3mbs.
This has only been noticed for the last couple of days but the connection has been unstable for a couple of weeks. Possibly since a power cut.
I haven't tried wired yet but I will today.

This is hampering my work and even uploads small file caused my gf to complain and she never notices the issues.

Any help appreciated. I'll be back in touch with the wired result ASAP.

Issues are across devices and SSIDs

Cheers
Stu

Re: Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

Just the same with the wired connection.

I have not seen one result go above 0.49.

Cheers

Stu

@stu1892

What hub have you got? Are you really on ADSL? What upload speed do you normally get? It is unlikely to exceed 1Mbps on ADSL.  Are you trying to download at the same time as uploading? Are you testing with no background tasks running?

@Baldrick1 Looking back on the OPs history, he's on VDSL. I have asked for the post to be moved.

Re: Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

Apologies if I've put it in the wrong forum. I've never seen it lower than 4mb. No background tasks. Shutdown other devices etc.

I've since approached the PN twitter support and they can see a fault. Given me a couple of things to try with the test line before I get back to them.

Re: Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

Hello @stu1892

Thanks a lot for reaching out and I'm really sorry to hear that you're having problems with your service.

Tests on the line have uncovered a fault with the Openreach network, so I've raised a Ticket on your account asking you to do a little troubleshooting before we get it raised with our suppliers. We're asking you to do the troubleshooting as tests indicate that the source of the fault is within or near the customer premise.

Please respond to the open Ticket with dates / times that you'd be available for an engineer visit should the troubleshooting prove unhelpful.

Give me a shout on here once you've responded to the Ticket and I'll get it raised. Smiley

Hi @adam945

I've replied to the ticket.

I've also just tried a different RJ11 cable with no luck.

Kind regards

Stu

Re: Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

I've updated the ticket.

The broadband is now off entirely.
It was working when the engineer left and it has just disconnected and not come back up after a power cycle.

Re: Upload speed dreadful for at least two days

It seems to be working now through the Microfilter.  Doesn't seem happy with the faceplate now.

Thanks for getting back to us @stu1892

I'm glad to see your broadband's working better through the microfilter.

Keep an eye on it and let us know if there are further issues.
