Weak Signal

When I use my Chromebook upstairs in my house it tells me that I have a weak signal. I am with 3 for my phone which is much faster connection

Hi @79Artyblue1, I can log into your router from here if you like and change a few settings which should hopefully improve on the router's wireless signal for you. I just need to ask for your approval first as it will cause the WiFi signal to drop out temporarily for about two minutes.

Thanks for getting back to us @79Artyblue1 and apologies for the delayed response.

I've split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless frequencies for you into separate network names. I've also run what's known as a smart wireless scan to make sure you're on the best wireless channel that's least congested in your area.

If you're still having wireless issues, can you try connecting your devices specifically onto the wireless network that ends in "__5GHz"? Also, have you always had this problem, or did it begin at a certain point? 

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
