When will 60+ Mb Speeds be avaliable in my area?

Hi,

I feel that 30 Mbp/s internet isnt fast enough for my needs, I really wouldnt mind paying the extra $2-3 for the upgrade. When will this be avaliable in my area.

Can you post a screenshot of the results from:- BT Broadband , obscuring your phone number?

And your Help Desk tab from the Hub, to show your attenuation? Again, obscure personal details.

You need to have made 2 or more posts (not sure of the exact number) before you can include pictures.

You're looking for VDSL or "WBC FTTP" in the left hand column of the results page from the link previously shown. It'll also give a speed estimate (high and low) for your line.

Another way of doing things is to Login to your PlusNet account and run the "Upgrade" feature to see what they offer (without completing the process until you're sure you want to). Note that if WBC FTTP is available PlusNet currently don't offer product (may change in the next couple of months) so wouldn't shown in your Members account.

Thanks for your post @sp3 and welcome to our Community Forums.

I've checked the availability and I can't see any plans to increase the speed of your fibre service. What you're currently getting is basically due to how far you are from the cabinet (the green box in the road). I'd recommend checking the above link periodically for "WBC FTTP" as this would be fibre straight to your property and offer you a lot faster.

Based on what Gandalf said you could check the following to see if or what FTTP may be available. The first is for OpenReach and the second is for any provider.

The Ofcom checker may only show what's live. If you post a general location for yourself others may be able to tell if any alternative supplier is in the area.
