Re: slow speeds

@vorlon99

TP- Link AC1200 just refers to the up to wifi speeds the device supports. ( 5Ghz - 867 Mbps & 2.4Ghz - 300 Mbps)

Another TP-Link DSL Modem/Router !?

With most TP-Link devices the advanced status page has an overview of the xDSL connection.

If you can not access the router Landing Page I suggest try switch off and on, if that fails a factory reset might be required using the pin hole near the LAN ports.

Re: slow speeds

Hi Dan, its been turned on and off a couple of times, will try the reset when I get home  but need a back up plan.

my wife works from home and she and others have said they have had random disconnects. but I also use wired plug adaptors for the 2 other connections

Re: slow speeds

Are the random disconnects with the power adapter connected devices or devices connected directly to the router or wifi?

In some situations powerline adapters can be temperamental, not that I have found them so.

All speed tests should be performed on a wired device connected directly to the router.

Re: slow speeds

Re: slow speeds

Hiya @vorlon99, as @jab1 has mentioned, I would recommend connecting to your Hub One if you still have this, it will also help to rule out any problems with your current router.

Re: slow speeds

You will need a modem for that device to work fully.

Title clearly says 'Cable Router'

Re: slow speeds

And, to follow @Dan_the_Van 's comment, I hope the description is a load of rubbish - only 802.a wireless and WEP security - on  Wi-Fi6 kit???

Yea, noticed the 'Cable Router on re-reading, Dan.😀
