1571 voicemail service

The 1571 service continually flashes on my phone even though no messages have been left

Re: 1571 voicemail service

@Bucko400

Have you tried unplugging the phone from the telephone socket and leaving it for ten minutes or so, then plugging it back in?

Also, if the phone has backup batteries fitted, (for memory retention etc), or a mains power supply connected, (my only wired phone is also the DECT cordless base station) - then remove/unplug these at the same time.

Re: 1571 voicemail service

Hi

I've tried two phones (bought a new one in case it was the phone)

Both the same

Re: 1571 voicemail service

Do you have an interrupted dial tone?

From elsewhere...

If you have a stuttered dial tone, but no 1571 voice mail message waiting, it is likely that a caller has hung up after the call has connected, but before the message recording has started.

These steps will remove the interrupted dial tone:

  1. Call your number and leave a message when prompted
  2. Dial 1571 and delete the message
