Re: Cost to replace BT Master socket

@dawson '5C' is the socket version,  'Mark 4' is the faceplate, with separate VDSL and phone connections - sorry I wasn't clearer.

No, it just has a single phone socket on it.

Re: Cost to replace BT Master socket

Very strange - if they fit a 5C smaster socket, the Mk.4 faceplate usually 'comes with it'.

Re: Cost to replace BT Master socket

If there's no wired extensions, then there's no need for a Mk4 faceplate apart from maybe it looks neater. In fact given the poor quality of connectors on the MK4, its probably better without

OK @MisterW  - although I never had any issue with my Mk.4.

Re: Cost to replace BT Master socket

@dawson said "No, it just has a single phone socket on it." so how is the router connected?

Do you still have a "rat-tail" filter acting as an adapter or a direct BT-RJ11 cable?

(I went one stage simpler/tidier and have a RJ11 cable that is terminated behind the faceplate on the sockets provided, so just exits from the bottom edge through one of the slots there)
